Warfare Prayers Of The Psalmist By Dr D.K. Olukoya

The aggressive prayers of the Psalmist are the focus of today’s warfare spiritual engagements and how to prayerfully deploy them against enemy positions this season.

The prayers of the Psalmist are reputedly very deadly, potent and precise against stubborn and unyielding situations in spiritual warfare. 

The vast understanding of the Psalmist in this regard makes his prayer points appear too acidic and extremely hot, according to the inexperienced in the school of spiritual warfare.

Some have stated erroneously that the aggressive prayers of the Psalmist negate the Lord’s injunction to love and pray for our enemies. 

They assumed in error that the term “enemy or enemies” in those prayers refers to the natural persons, whereas David a principal Psalmist, declined an opportunity to physically kill King Saul during the latter’s offensive against him.

The truth according to advance students of spiritual warfare is that ‘enemy’ in the aggressive prayers of the Psalmist exclude flesh and blood. The term includes those categories stated in Ephesians 6:12,namely: 

• Principalities and powers 

• Rulers of darkness of this world 

• Spiritual wickedness in high places. 

These are the targets of the acidic and violent prayers of the Psalmist, since the Lord did not counsel us to love and pray for demons and associated evil personalities, who understood only the language of holy violence and resounding defeat.

Finally, the alarmingly dangerous dimensions of evil invasions and unprovoked attacks of believers by the Kingdom of darkness and its designated spiritual agents, call for aggressively hot and violent counterattacks by warfare prayers of the Psalmist. 

Everyone who desires complete victory over repeated stubborn and unyielding situations, must pray with the spirit of enough is enough, to claim victory by fire in Jesus name. 

Prayer Points: 

1. As the chaff before the wind, let the powers of the wicked be blown away by fire, in the name of Jesus. 

2. Let the way of the wicked powers in charge of my case be dark and slippery, until they fall into sudden destruction by fire, in the name of Jesus. 

3. With the red hot iron of your wrath, O Lord dash to pieces the proud resolve of the wicked powers in charge of my situation, in the name of Jesus. 

4. O Lord let the powers against my rising and shinning, fall by their own evil counsel, in the name of Jesus. 

5. O Lord let the wickedness of the wicked powers harassing my life, swallow them by fire, in the name of Jesus. 

6. My father arise in your power and prepare the instruments of deaths against my persecutors, in the name of Jesus. 

7. My father multiply the sorrows of the wicked powers harassing my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus. 

8. My father let the wicked in charge of my situation, be like grass upon the housetops that withers before it grows up, in the name of Jesus.
